Books have always played a special part in my life. In the evenings after we were all tucked in bed for the night, my dad would sit and read a chapter or two from books like Watership Down by Richard Adams or JRR Tolkin. In middle School, after being grounded to my room I discovered two books by Marry Tannen "The Wizard Children of Finn and The Lost Legend of Finn" They were great adventure books about two children who travel back 2000 years to ancient Ireland. While in High School, I came across books written by Robyn McKinley. to this day 35+ years later you can always count on me having a copy of the Hero and the Crown when ever I travel.
I have been writing and creating stories from the time I was old enough to pick up a crayon. Constantly inspired by the stories my dad told and read at bedtime. After living more than 15 years in North Pole Alaska, I currently live in Utah Valley with my Best friend and love of my life, where we enjoy frequent visits from our grandchildren.
Books inspire us, challenge us and bring out the adventures we all hold deep inside. I always wanted more than just reading about someone else's words. I wanted to create my own stories and adventures to share with others. There are so many voices and stories crowed in my imagination wanting to be discovered and shared. I'm excited to announce Sara Ray's Inkblots is a place for those voices to be read by others. Join me as we read the inkblots adventures from the mind of me... Sara Ray.
